Mary Ellen Jukoski, Ed.D.
Campus President, Quinebaug Valley and Three Rivers
A seasoned leader in higher education, Campus President Jukoski has guided Three Rivers through more than a decade of academic transformation, campus development and student success. With the addition of CT State Quinebaug Valley to her portfolio, her expanded leadership now supports both campuses in delivering high-quality, student-focused education aligned with community and workforce needs.
Prior to joining Three Rivers, Campus President Jukoski served for 20 years as President of Mitchell College in New London, CT, where she strengthened academic programs, grew enrollment and fostered a strong campus culture. Her earlier administrative roles include positions at Sacred Heart University, Loretto Heights College, the University of Memphis and Empire State College.
Campus President Jukoski has earned numerous awards for her leadership in higher education, including a W.K. Kellogg Foundation National Leadership Fellowship, the William Crawford Award, the Connecticut Women in Higher Education Leadership Award and the Greater New London NAACP Education Award. In 2025, she was honored with the CT State Three Rivers Campus Student Government Legacy Award, recognizing her exceptional service and lasting impact on students.
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY, a master’s degree in curriculum planning and development from SUNY Albany and her doctorate in higher education curriculum and instruction from the University of Memphis.
Campus President Jukoski is deeply involved in the community and has served on numerous boards, including the Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board, Southeastern Connecticut United Way, Otis Library, the Williams School, Yale–Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and the Chamber of Commerce of Southeastern Connecticut. Her leadership has bridged education with economic development and created stronger opportunities for students across Eastern Connecticut.
