The CT State Youth Protection Program serves as a centralized resource for employees regarding mandatory reporting requirements, institutional procedures and best practices for safeguarding minors. Through education, compliance support and collaboration with institutional leadership, the program helps foster safe environments and ensures that CT State meets its legal and ethical obligations to protect children.

File a Youth Protection Report

You may file a Youth Protection Report on behalf of yourself or report an incident that you have witnessed at a CT State campus or office.

Our Role

Protect Minors

Support CT State's commitment to providing safe environments for minors participating in college-sponsored activities and programs on CT State campuses. 

Provide Guidance and Resources

Offer training, resources and practical guidance to help employees understand their responsibilities related to mandated reporting and the protection of minors. 

Support Compliance

Serve as a resource for interpreting youth protection requirements, coordinating institutional response efforts and promoting compliance with state law and CT State policy. 

Promote a Culture of Safety

Work with institutional leadership to strengthen awareness, prevention and accountability efforts that support the well-being of minors across CT State campuses.
