Darryl Reome, Ed.D.

Vice Provost, Student Affairs

Dr. Darryl Reome has more than two decades of leadership experience in public higher education, with expertise in student and academic affairs, strategic planning, enrollment management and community engagement. In 2025, he was appointed as the inaugural Vice Provost of Student Affairs at CT State Community College.

Previously, Dr. Reome served as Campus Chief Executive Officer of CT State Tunxis, where he managed operations, a $30 million budget, 86 academic programs, and multiple facilities. Under his leadership, the campus stabilized enrollment, improved retention, and increased graduation rates. In 2020, he received the Phi Theta Kappa Paragon Award for New Presidents.

He has also held senior leadership roles across the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system, including at Tunxis Dean of Student Affairs; Dean of Academic Affairs and Director of Advising, Counseling and Student Retention at Tunxis; at Northwestern, Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management; and at Middlesex, Director of Admissions. As an adjunct professor, he taught humanities, social sciences, and first-year experience courses.

As Vice Provost, Dr. Reome collaborates with students, faculty, staff and system leadership, while maintaining close connections with student government associations, student Veterans, and Phi Theta Kappa. He has chaired the Dean of Student Affairs Council, served on CSCU committees, and is active in regional and national higher education associations.

A first-generation college graduate and New England native, Dr. Reome earned degrees from Sacred Heart University, Central Connecticut State University and Johnson & Wales University, where his doctoral research examined college completion among first-generation students.
