Kelly Falvey, Ed.D.

Director, Concurrent Enrollment

Dr. Kelly Falvey joined Connecticut State Community College in February 2025 as Director of Concurrent Enrollment. She brings two decades of experience in Connecticut public high schools. She has served in multiple roles as an educator, holding Connecticut State Department of Education endorsements in history and social studies, school library media and adult education. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary, inclusive and differentiated learning opportunities centered on student voice and choice, along with mentoring pre-service and early career educators in their professional and personal development.

Dr. Falvey is committed to building bridges between Connecticut’s PreK-12 learning communities and higher education. Before joining CT State, she advanced this goal by coordinating, teaching and advising in both a CSCU educator preparation program and the Connecticut River Academy, a magnet high school. At Southern Connecticut State University, she supported preservice educators and was recognized with the Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award in 2022. Her classroom and advisory experiences also grew to include collaboration with school counselors and the development of early college opportunities and curricula that integrate social, emotional and academic growth.

Dr. Falvey holds a doctor of education degree in educational leadership from Sacred Heart University and a master of arts degree in liberal studies from Wesleyan University. She launched her career in education through undergraduate studies in history and environmental studies at Southern Connecticut State University. Beyond school roles, she has served as an assistant registrar during elections and as a board member for the Connecticut Council for the Social Studies and Lumability, Inc.
