Are you interested in a career in healthcare? Do you see yourself working as a valuable member of a team, welcoming patients and helping support a physical therapy office? CT State’s Physical Therapy Aide Certificate is a great way to get into the field.
The Physical Therapy Aide Certificate will prepare you to work in a physical therapy environment, assisting therapists in improving patients’ function and quality of life. This course includes 12 classroom hours and nine hands-on laboratory hours.
In This Course You'll Learn:
- about the profession of physical therapy as part of the health care team, including rehabilitation terminology, physical therapy settings and specialties, and common medical diagnoses
- how to safeguard, transport, and transfer skills, as well as skills for assisting with therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, and other physical therapy treatments
