CT State Gateway’s Pre-FESP Program supports students who have a GPA below a 2.0 on their educational journey. It provides individualized support, monitoring of academic progress, and tracking of scholastic achievement to help students reach the 2.0 threshold required for graduation eligibility.

Once students reach a 2.0 GPA, they are given the option to smoothly transition into the Family Economic Security Program (FESP) where they will gain access to transformative one-on-one coaching, scholarships, and an array of resources designed to foster their personal and academic growth.

Program Requirements

  • Must be registered at CT State Gateway for the upcoming semester.
  • Must have a GPA below a 2.0.

Program Responsibilities

  • Attend orientation every semester you are in Pre-FESP.
  • Meet with your achievement coach three times per semester.
  • Meet with your tutor three times per semester.
  • Participate in one professional development workshop every semester in Pre-FESP.
