Hola. I am Anarelis Cruz. I am a proud Latina and currently the executive assistant to the campus President at CT State Tunxis. Previously, I was an alumnus at Manchester Community College. One of the things that I love about CT State is the diversity that we have here and the opportunity that we have to give back to faculty, staff and students, and I am so passionate about education and students, and I love giving back to each student, maybe in a way that wasn't given to me when I was in that situation. So I'm excited to give back, and I look forward to working with you. You can see the impact of your work every day. |

Hi. My name is Tracy Dixon. I'm the campus advising lead at CT State Three Rivers. I started at CT State Three Rivers, about 11 years ago as a EA part time. I was a student at Middlesex Community College a gazillion years ago, and I tell anyone who will listen that my community college education completely changed the course of my life. It opened up doors that I couldn't have even conceived of, things I didn't even know were possible. And so to come back and work here now to support students in the way I was supported as a student is just it's remarkable. |

Hello, my name is Sam and I'm an employee at CT State Community College Tunxis. I've been there since 2006, after I dropped out of college and moved across the country. After I did a little bit of self-discovery, I came back to Connecticut and found my local community college. It was really a support system that I didn't even know I needed.
Really, what I believe is that we put the community in community college. The faculty are extremely collaborative and helpful. The staff are really friendly and the students are really the main reason why I still enjoy working here all these years. Connecticut State Community College helped me find my path, and I enjoy helping everybody find theirs. |

First the team at CT State Community College Police Department is incredible with their leadership style and the fact they want us to succeed and grow in our careers. They are big on training and support us as an agency. This is a brand-new agency which has been built from the ground up.
As far as the campus that I work on, I am so fortunate working with the faculty and staff. Everyone has one thing in common and that is to make sure that our students succeed, whether it is in the classroom or in their personal lives. We as a group are here for them. There is something to be said when you have a student come up to you and tell you how much they appreciate you and what you do. Making connections with our students is what this is about.
The type of policing we do is so very important on our campuses. We are here to do a job as professionals, but we still want to be lively and have fun interacting with our students. This job is community policing on steroids. Whether we are doing Coffee with a Cop or Pops with a Cop, or having service dogs in, helping at the food pantry, or greeting our students at the door, they the students are why we are here. It is our job to make sure that our students, faculty and staff are safe and able to do their jobs.

-Vanessa L. Walton, Administrative Assistant with CT State Community College Police Department
Working at CT State has provided me the opportunity to support thousands of students seeking to acquire and expand their knowledge and skills.
Our students bring incredible energy and enthusiasm to our campuses, and celebrating their accomplishments with them reminds us why we do what we do to help them along their academic journey at CT State.
Working at CT State has been a rich and rewarding experience on so many levels. While our students learn from us, we also learn from them.
