Schedule an Advising Session

- I have applied to and been accepted to CT State Manchester
- I have completed my FAFSA and/or contacted the Bursar’s office about a payment plan
- I have completed the online New Student Orientation
- I have successfully logged in to myCTState
Continuing students are encouraged to connect with their Guided Pathways (GP) advisor to prepare for registration, and their faculty advisor or Program Coordinator to learn more about their degree path. To guarantee time with your advisor, please schedule an appointment. Advisors can meet with you in person, virtually, or over the phone. Same-day service is not guaranteed without an appointment.
Who is my Guided Pathways Advisor?
Visit Degree Works by logging in to myCTState and selecting Degree Works under Student Self-Service. Your Guided Pathways Advisor’s name will be listed at the top of your degree audit. Click on the envelope in the top right corner to find their email address. If you cannot locate your advisor, contact the Guided Pathways Advising office.
How do I make an appointment with my Guided Pathways (GP) Advisor?
Your GP Advisor regularly reaches out to you through your student email with direct links to book an appointment on campus or virtually. To access your email account, log-in to myCTState and look for “College Email.” If you cannot find any emails from your advisor, contact the Guided Pathways Advising office.
Please complete the below steps before requesting an appointment. We look forward to working with you!
- I have applied to and am accepted at CT State Manchester.
- I have requested my official college transcripts (from all schools) to be sent to CTState-TranscriptEval@ct.edu (please allow 7-10 business days for evaluations to be completed).
- I can present an unofficial copy of my transcript(s) from the institution(s) I attended to an advisor during my advising session. (If you do not have an unofficial transcript to present to the advisor for your advising session you will not be able to move forward. Unofficial college transcripts are only accepted for the first semester).
- I have completed my FAFSA and/or contacted the Bursar’s office about a payment plan.
- I have completed the online New Student Orientation.
- I have successfully logged in to myCTState.

- I am returning to CT State after being away for 2 or more years.
- I have reapplied to and am accepted at CT State Manchester.
- If I have attended other colleges while being away from Manchester, I have requested my official college transcripts (from all schools) to be sent to CTState-TranscriptEval@ct.edu (please allow 7-10 business days for evaluations to be completed).
- If I have attended other colleges while being away from Manchester, I can present an unofficial copy of my transcript(s) from the institution(s) I attended to an advisor during my advising session. (If you do not have an unofficial transcript to present to the advisor for your advising session you may not be able to move forward. Unofficial college transcripts are only accepted for the first semester).
- I have completed my FAFSA and/or contacted the Bursar’s office about a payment plan.
- I have completed the online New Student Orientation.
