The Men in Nursing initiative at the Gateway campus is specifically designed to attract males into the nursing profession by breaking down the traditional stereotype of nursing as a female profession.

Applicants must also prove a need for financial support, have a minimum 2.7 GPA and meet additional criteria. The scholarship was established by Sam Osei, RN, a 2006 graduate of Gateway’s nursing program, to advance the college’s Gateway Men Embrace Nursing (G-MEN) initiative.
