Environmental Sustainability Committee

The functions of the commitee are as follows:

• Drive student engagement in sustainability initiatives and foster environmental stewardship
• Articulate sustainability goals and how to measure progress
• Monitor, record, and report progress toward institutional sustainability goals
• Advise administration on sustainability practices
• Integrate concepts of sustainability throughout CT State’s curriculum
• Initiate and coordinate the process of CT State becoming a climate neutral college    

The committee seeks representation from the following stakeholders:

• A minimum of one representative from each campus of CT State.
• System Office: Facilities Leadership
• Students: a minimum of two at-large student representatives

Leadership of the committee will include the following positions:

• Chair
• Vice-chair
• Secretary

Each position will be voted on by the membership of the committee and the term of each position will be two years, with a two-term maximum in each position

Meetings will take place monthly during the fall and spring academic semesters, with additional meetings added as needed.
