The Massage Therapy clinic at CT State Asnuntuck is a public clinic providing relaxing Swedish-style massages. It allows our students to expand their skills under the supervision of licensed massage therapists as part of a required internship that completes their hands-on hours.

Hours of Operation

Tuesday: 2-8 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Thursday: 2-8 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

What to Expect

Upon arrival outside of Room 145, you will be greeted by a student. After a standard health intake is completed and payment is taken, the student will bring you into the massage room and direct you to the correct table. Please note that your massage will take place in a semi-private room. All massages occur in the same room, but each table is curtained off from the rest of the room, ensuring visual privacy throughout the session. Because of this, we ask that all clients and therapists remain quiet during their massage.

The student will give you instructions on disrobing and where to place your things, then step out to wash their hands and prepare for your massage as you get on the table. Prior to re-entering the massage space, they will inquire if you are all set. Upon confirmation that you are on the table, the student will enter the space and perform either a 50 or 100-minute massage, depending on your booking choice. Once the massage is completed, the students will step out of the area, giving you privacy to dress. Once out of the room, we ask that all clients fill out a feedback form to help the students improve their skills.

Please note that there are no current COVID-19 masking requirements. Clients and therapists may choose to wear masks if desired. We reserve the right to change this based on school policy.

Payment and Tipping

We accept CASH or personal check. Exact change is recommended if paying cash. There are NO ATMs available on campus, so please make sure you bring cash or check with you. Due to state regulations, students may not receive tips. You can instead help the students by re-booking with them regularly so they may reach their required hours and become licensed faster. We encourage you to spread the word about the clinic. If you are feeling particularly generous, donations may be applied towards student scholarships. Ask the supervisor about donating towards a student scholarship.
