Study abroad is an increasingly important part of the college experience. Exploring new cultures can be life-changing and many students point to their time abroad as a defining aspect of their education. CT State Housatonic offers students annual opportunities to explore the world through faculty-led, short-term study abroad programs that combine academic learning with immersive cultural experiences, allowing students to discover new places, engage with different cultures and broaden their global perspectives.
Earn College Credit While Exploring the World
Our study abroad course allows you to earn college credit while experiencing another country firsthand. You’ll enroll in a spring semester course led by CT State Housatonic faculty and learn alongside fellow students. During spring break, your class will travel abroad for approximately one to one and a half weeks, applying what you’ve learned in the classroom through meaningful cultural experiences and real-world exploration.
This course is open to all majors and may be taken to satisfy global knowledge, humanities or open elective degree requirements.
