The National Science Foundation has awarded an S-STEM grant to the CT State Norwalk Engineering program. The S-STEM program aims to support talented students in pursuing successful education and careers in STEM fields. The program fosters students' academic goals by offering various extracurricular activities, including academic and transfer advising, mentorship, tours of partner universities, attendance at STEM conferences, and participation in undergraduate research initiatives. Additionally, the program provides financial support of up to $30,000 for each student over a three-year period.

You must be enrolled in the CT State Norwalk Engineering Science AS degree program at least half-time.

How to Apply

Priority Deadline and Award Decision Timeline
The application priority deadline for each semester is four weeks before the semester begins. Award decisions will be emailed to applicants three weeks before the semester starts. While applications submitted after the priority deadline are accepted, they will only be reviewed if the review committee does not find suitable candidates among those who applied by the priority deadline.
You will need the following items to apply:
- An unofficial transcript is fine. We may ask you for an official transcript later.
- Norwalk students: Print your unofficial transcript from myCTState, Student Self-Service
- Transfer students with no Norwalk GPA: Gather your transcript from your previous college.
- First-time first-time college students: Gather your high school transcript.
Read these instruction first and then provide it to a college or high school STEM faculty and ask them to write a recommendation letter for you.
