In addition to highlighting CT State college students, the episode included an interview with high school student Ashmeet Kaur, who is earning college credits early through CT State classes.

Connecticut State Community College (CT State) is featured in season 14 of “The College Tour,” a series from Emmy-nominated producers Alex Boylan, Lisa Hennessy, and Burton Roberts, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The announcement coincides with National Higher Education Day, observed annually on June 6 to raise awareness about the value of higher education and encourage students to explore college options.

Hosted by “The Amazing Race” winner Alex Boylan, “The College Tour” tells the stories of individual colleges and universities through the lens of its students. The series helps connect prospective students across the world with higher education, providing insights into campus life, academic programs, and student support services that aim to help them explore higher education options and make informed decisions.

“We are proud to be featured in ‘The College Tour,’ which makes college visits more accessible and convenient for prospective students,” said CT State President O. John Maduko, M.D. “While spending time on campus remains an important step in determining if a college is the right fit, this series helps students visualize themselves at CT State and get a true sense of our community. We still encourage everyone to visit us in person—preferably when classes are in session—to experience campus life firsthand,” he added. “We are incredibly grateful to our students, faculty, and staff who participated in this exciting opportunity.”

The episode featuring CT State includes stories from students across the college’s campuses, highlighting the many resources and opportunities that are setting students up for success.

“CT State offers students an extraordinary experience, and we’re so excited to share that on ‘The College Tour,’” said Boylan. “For students, choosing which college to attend is a monumental decision, and this episode gives prospective students a first-hand look at what makes this school so special.”

Prospective college students still have time to apply to CT State and find out if they are eligible for free tuition for fall 2025. Fall semester credit classes begin August 27.
