CT State Asnuntuck Personal Services Careers Lecturer/Assistant Coordinator (Cosmetology, Esthetician, and Nail Technician) Kelly Krivacs says, “As the lead Esthetician instructor, I have truly enjoyed working at CT State Asnuntuck and sharing my passion for the field with students over the years. The campus is very supportive of the program. This support allows me to teach everything from basic facials to hydrofacials to advanced microdermabrasion and everything in between. She continues, “Students graduate the program highly skilled and fully prepared to join the Esthetics field.”
Students will learn various skincare treatments, including everything from basic facials to hydrofacials. Additionally, instruction will include nano infusion, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and much more. The program will also include instruction on lash lift, lash tint, and brow lamination. Basic and advanced product kits are included in the tuition. CT State Asnuntuck is a partner school of both PCA and glymed+.
Allison Goodwin, who has been enrolled in the Esthetician program at CT State Asnuntuck since April is preparing to graduate. She is reflecting on her experience. “I have learned a lot. I have liked how hands-on the program has been. I felt very supported by my teachers.”
The soon-to-be graduate is preparing to transition from her current role as a receptionist at Asana Organic Skin and Beauty to an Esthetician there. “I feel very prepared and very ready,” said Goodwin.
The Esthetician program at CT State Asnuntuck begins on September 30 and runs until March 6 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
