CT State Community College (CT State) celebrated 25 high-achieving students statewide who were named to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Connecticut Academic Team this spring.

"We congratulate these exceptional students for their remarkable achievements in being named to the All-Connecticut Academic Team, alongside the five outstanding scholars awarded prestigious scholarships,” said CT State President John Maduko, M.D. “Their dedication to academics and exemplary leadership embodies the essence of excellence. We are exceedingly proud to celebrate their accomplishments and recognize their contributions to our community."

Sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa honor society, the All-Connecticut Academic Team is one of the All-USA Community College qualifying teams. This honor recognizes high achieving two-year college students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and service beyond the classroom. Each student is pursuing an associate degree, maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher, and actively participating in campus activities.

In addition to being selected All-Connecticut Academic Team scholars, Jake Haynes received the New Century Transfer scholarship, Leah Thomas received the Century Workforce scholarship, Kathylee Perez was named a 2024 Coca-Cola Gold scholar, while Amelia Kearney and Max Richardson were recognized as Coca-Cola Silver and Bronze scholars, respectively.
