Tunxis Foundation Economic Breakfast to Explore Role of Tariffs in Connecticut’s Economic Health

Tunxis Foundation invites the community to a panel discussion on “The Impact of Tariffs on Connecticut’s Economy” at its 2025 Economic Breakfast and networking event on October 21 at 7:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bristol.
Proceeds from the breakfast will support student scholarships and programs at Connecticut State Community College Tunxis in Farmington.
Moderated by Chris DiPentima, president and CEO of CBIA, the panel will explore how tariffs are influencing industry growth, workforce development, trade relations, and the overall economic health of Connecticut. The panel includes Lou Auletta, CEO and principal owner of Bauer, a global leader in aircraft component testing; Chris Jewell, president and owner of Collins & Jewell Company, a custom fabrication and industrial installation firm, and Douglas Johnson, president and owner of Marion Manufacturing, specializing in precision metal stamping for the medical, telecommunications, aerospace, and automotive industries.
Scholarships and tickets include a hot breakfast buffet, networking opportunities, a panel discussion followed by Q & A, and a donation to the Tunxis Student Scholarship Fund.
