NCC’s Professor of Economics and Department Chair of Social/Behavioral Science, Steven Glazer, was recently featured in WalletHub’s study about 2023’s Best Cities for Jobs. The study compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 32 key indicators of job-market strength ranging from employment growth to monthly average starting salary.

A panel of experts, including Professor Glazer, were also asked to share their thoughts on the following key questions:

  • What is your prediction for the job market in 2023?
  • Which fields are expected to grow the most in the coming years?
  • Recent evidence suggests fewer people are moving across state lines in search for work. Why do you think this is, and what can be done to increase geographic mobility?
  • Which are the most common mistakes job seekers make when seeking employment?
