The Social and Behavioral Sciences represent areas of learning that help us to understand more deeply the cultural, historical, social, political, and psychological forces that shape our lives.
CT State Community College’s Social and Behavioral Science programs combine skills and passion toward a career that’s exciting and fulfilling and helps make a real difference in people’s lives. Programs allow students to build skills and qualifications for existing careers, to seek a new and exciting career, or to aspire to be a leader in criminal justice, early childhood education, human services, political science, psychology, social work, and more.
Curriculums are designed for those seeking continuing education or to further enhance skills and credentials, as well as for those who are planning to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program. Students learn about the challenges and the rewards of working in the field while gaining practical hands-on experience through class experiences and diverse internships.
