What Is a Digital Badge?

Are you looking for support and tips on how to thrive in college? You don’t have to do it alone! Let's Get Ready is a near-peer mentoring program that pairs students at CT State - ages 18-24 - with experienced student mentors. What’s a near-peer? It’s someone close in age and experience to a student in the Let’s Get Ready program who can help the student navigate college from their first semester at CT State until they graduate. 

Let’s Get Ready’s college student coaches are available on your phone via text to answer your questions and to offer encouragement along the way. Let's Get Ready also sends out weekly texts reminding students of important dates such as FAFSA renewal, class registration, and finals preparation or offering helpful suggestions on resume building, internships, and time management, or occasionally just checking in on how you are doing. So not only can you text us with questions, we will text you too!

Let’s Get Ready provides eligible CT State students with free college completion support through graduation. Services are led by near-peer college student coaches and are tailored to your college journey. Throughout your time with LGR, you’ll have lots of choices about how you engage with LGR college student coaches, including:

      Transfer to a Connecticut State College or University

      Transfer Tickets

      CT State graduates may seamlessly transfer to Central, Eastern, Southern or Western Connecticut State Universities and Charter Oak State College when taking one of our Transfer Ticket programs. Successful completion of such a transfer associate degree will offer the student guaranteed admission and junior status to the receiving university or Charter Oak State College without "course by course" transfer.

      Frequently Asked Questions for Students

      • Yes! It's important to your education and career plans to choose an appropriate major and courses that will meet the requirements at your next school. The earlier you start planning, the easier the transfer process will be! You may be eligible for assistance with application fees by visiting Conntac Inc.

      • You should reach out to your Guided Pathways advisor to discuss your transfer plans and make sure you're on the right path for a successful transfer.

        Find Your Advisor

      •  The Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) degree program is the most easily transferable. LAS represents the broad education of a college degree; your major represents your area of specialization, which is either academic or career/training centered. Earning your LAS degree at CT State will give you time and flexibility in choosing a major.
        You may also consider programs the following programs:
        • Math/Science for medicine, health, engineering and science majors
        • Behavioral Science for psychology, sociology, anthropology and social work majors
        • General Studies for any major that requires special courses that do not fit well into the LAS major

        Other majors at CT State may have transfer agreements in place (see above), or in some cases, unofficial arrangements. Check with your program coordinator or Guided Pathways advisor to learn more.

        • Cost: Financial Aid and scholarships may be available—be sure to fill out the FAFSA and check in with the Financial Aid Office!
        • Location: If commuting, you'll want to research the distance and travel time to the college as well as considerations about ease and availability of parking
        • Availability of Major: Does the college/university you plan to attend have your intended program of study?
        • Competitiveness: How many transfer students does the college accept? Are there academic and/or GPA requirements? Do you meet those standards?
        • Academic and Student Support Services: Look into academic facilities, library, tutoring and other student services
        • Campus Community: Can you see yourself on the grounds? In the buildings? Finding or creating a community with other students and faculty?
        • Extracurricular Activities and Sports: Do you want to write for a school newspaper? Join an intramural basketball league? Volunteer at a local hospital?
      • Speak with the transfer counselor at the college or university you would like to attend regarding transferability of your classes and credits. 

      • Each college evaluates credits independently, so even if CT State accepts credits from another college, the next school you attend will need to re-evaluate your credits for transfer. 

      • If you have concerns regarding your transfer credit evaluation, we encourage you to consult with the transfer counselor at your new school to determine the next steps for an appeal. 

      • If you have questions about the school you are transferring to you should reach out to the transfer counselor at the school you plan to transfer to. If you have questions about your major or the transfer process, you can contact your Guided Pathways Advisor with any questions.

      Enrollment Verification

      CT State offers the ability to obtain enrollment verifications, which can be sent to other educational institutions, potential employers or any other appropriate entities. 

      Enrollment verifications are available during the following times each semester:

      • Fall Semester: On or around October 1
      • Spring Semester: On or around February 28
      • Summer Semester: On or around July 24

      Current and Recent Students

      Students who have been issued a NetID and password should log in to myCTState, navigate to the Student Self-Service card, and click “Request for Enrollment Verification.” This will take you to myhub at the National Student Clearinghouse. 

      If you don’t remember your NetID or password, please use the online self-help tools to obtain your NetID or reset your NetID password. 

      Former Students

      Former students who are looking for past enrollment verifications can go to https://www.myhub.org

      Myhub can be accessed via your social accounts with Google and LinkedIn. To ensure your data remains protected, you are challenged with a series of challenge questions based on your public record data (e.g., car loan data, credit bureau data, etc.) when logging in via either social login option.

      Please Note: Enrollment verifications for CT State are available for past semesters but not future ones. Enrollment verifications are also not available for the current semester until enrollment has been frozen. Please see the dates above. 

      Navigating Myhub

      This section walks through Myhub and the various features that may be presented to you.

      Myhub Dashboard

      • When you access your Myhub account, the first page you will see is the Myhub dashboard. The Myhub dashboard provides quick access to actions you can take with your Myhub account and a high-level view of your verified record.

        Each section of the Myhub Dashboard allows you to access a detail page with complete record information from participating institutions. Myhub sections are described below.

      • Click the My Records Card on the right of the Myhub Dashboard or the My Records link in the navigation menu to quickly access your education records.

        On the My Records section, you can view your enrollment history, degrees earned and credentials.

      • The Enrollment History tab displays your term-by-term enrollment history from institutions participating in Myhub and Enrollment Reporting. Access the Enrollment History tab through the Enrollment History card on the Myhub Dashboard or by selecting My Records. You can click the dropdown option on your institution to view more information.

      • The Degrees Earned card on the Myhub Dashboard displays up to two degrees you've earned from institutions participating in Myhub and DegreeVerify. If the institution has provided logos, those will appear on this card in the Myhub Dashboard. You can view all degrees you've earned at participating Myhub institutions by clicking the Degrees Earned card on the Myhub dashboard or by clicking the Degrees Earned tab on the My Records page.

        You can view your degrees earned and click the dropdown option to view more information on a specific degree.

      • Directly access your Enrollment records and Transcripts by clicking the Self-Service card on the Myhub dashboard or the option in the navigation menu.

        On the Self-Service Page, you'll be prompted with your participating institutions and have options to download certificates based on what your institution has chosen to participate in. If an institution has not opted in for a specific certificate, the option to download will not be available.

        Download Current Enrollment Certificate
        If your institution chooses to provide enrollment certificates through Myhub, you will see the Current Enrollment Certificate option in the dropdown list. The Current Enrollment certificate reports only the latest term information, excluding all prior terms.

        Download All Enrollment Certificates
        If your institution chooses to provide enrollment certificates through Myhub, learners will see the Download All Enrollment Certificate option. The All Enrollment Certificate reports the final status for all terms the student was enrolled at your institution.

      Enrollment Verification Process

      Data on my enrollment verification is incorrect or missing. What should I do?
      If you have a question in regard to the content or accuracy of the data included in your enrollment verification, please contact your school directly at CTState-ReportingCompliance@ct.edu.

      Can I get an enrollment verification for my Workforce Development/Continuing Education (WDCE) courses?
      Enrollment Verifications for WDCE courses must be requested through your campus Workforce Development/Continuing Education office.
