Anime Club

The Anime Club provides a fun and comfortable environment for gamers, “nerds” and anime and manga fanatics. Based on a mutual passion for these activities, the club’s goal is to raise money to attend conventions and host gaming tournaments.

Capital Book Club

CT State Capital’s Book Club's main purpose is to bring people together through literature. The Club will meet to discuss the book that’s been chosen by members of the club. The club will also have non-mandatory meetings to discuss surrounding communities via books. Capital Book Club’s ultimate goal is to enjoy and explore literature through various genres and cultures.

Capital Student News (CSN)

Capital Student News serves as a journalism venture exposing students to the exciting world of media. CSN makes it their goal to inform and engage the community of current events, campus news, and controversial topics. As one of the most diverse student bodies in the region, we provide thought-provoking stories on several platforms such as online/social media, and video that will be produced and published here at the college. We serve to give students an entry-level experience in the world of communication media.

Chess Club

The purpose of this club is to bring together chess players at the college and in the Greater Hartford community to share their interest in chess and to promote an understanding of the game for its own sake – as an art and as an intellectual sport. For competitive-minded members, the club provides an organized chess tournament venue. Membership in the Chess Club is open to CT State Community College students with an interest in chess, regardless of his/her experience or playing ability.

International Club

IC’s purpose is to increase social interaction between International and American students at CT State Capital, to create an appreciation for the international students at the college, and to facilitate a better understanding between all. Towards that end, the club provides social and cultural activities to bring everyone together.

The purpose of LASA is to promote interest in and celebrate the study of the Spanish language and Latin culture.

Men In Nursing Support Group

The mission of the Men in Nursing Club is to provide support for male nursing students as they navigate the challenges of identifying as a male in a predominantly female profession and to follow the core values of Stewardship, Integrity, and Inclusion to better both the CT State Capital and Hartford communities.

Minority Nursing Club

CT State Capital Minority Nursing Mentoring Club is a mentoring program designed to support the success of minority nursing students. The program has been organized to provide additional support, encouragement, and guidance to nursing students as they pursue professional goals as well as support the academic success of minority nursing students at CT State Capital. Students will be paired with a mentor who is either a college or community professional who will be available to guide their mentee. The club is committed to the development of each member as they experience challenges in their current role as a nursing student and later as they transition to a registered nurse.

Music and Entertainment Club

The Music and Entertainment Club at CT State Capital is a club that offers great a variety of discussions related to music, dancing, and other entertainment. Students are encouraged to prepare events that display their talents in various genres, video production, dance, and all other forms of media to display their hidden talents in the arts.

The Muslim Student Association’s (MSA) purpose is to promote friendly relationships between Muslim and non-Muslim students, to inform people of other faiths and cultures about Islam, and to encourage brotherly bonds among college students and the community.

National Student Nurses Association (NSNA)

The National Student Nurses Association at CT State Capital's purpose is to bring students together and mentor them as they prepare for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs. It is also designed to convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession. Promotes the development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession. Advocates for high-quality, evidence-based, affordable, and accessible health care. Advocates for and contributes to advances in nursing education. Develops nursing students who are prepared to lead the profession in the future.

Organization of Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) - Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society 

The mission of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society is to recognize the academic excellence of students in the study of associate degree nursing. This honor society encourages the pursuit of advanced degrees in the profession of nursing as well as continuing education as a life-long professional responsibility.
