The Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education and the faculty, staff and students of Connecticut State Community College hosted the investiture of Dr. O. John Maduko as the inaugural president of CT State Community College on Friday, April 12, at CT State Housatonic with a community reception following the ceremony. It was a singular opportunity to recognize Dr. Maduko’s unique role in CT State history, and both the many special partnerships the college has developed and its notable place in Connecticut and New England higher education.
In addition to Dr. Maduko’s friends and family, attendees included CT State and CSCU leadership, Regents, higher education leaders from Connecticut and across the country, non-profit and business partners, and many others whose support of CT State is critical to the nascent college’s success. Along with a traditional academic procession, the ceremony included special guest speakers with student musicians providing accompaniment to the ceremony.
