CT State offers the ability to obtain enrollment verifications, which can be sent to other educational institutions, potential employers or any other appropriate entities. 

Enrollment verifications are available during the following times each semester:

• Fall Semester: On or around October 1
• Spring Semester: On or around February 28
• Summer Semester: On or around July 24

Students who have been issued a NetID and password should log in to myCTState, navigate to the Student Quick Links card, and click “Enrollment Verification Request”. This will take you to myhub at the National Student Clearinghouse. 

If you don’t remember your NetID or password, please use the online self-help tools to obtain your NetID or reset your NetID password. 

Former students who are looking for past enrollment verifications can go to https://www.myhub.org. 

Myhub can be accessed via your social accounts with Google and LinkedIn. To ensure your data remains protected, you are challenged with a series of challenge questions based on your public record data (e.g., car loan data, credit bureau data, etc.) when logging in via either social login option.

Please Note: Enrollment verifications for CT State are available for past semesters but not future ones. Enrollment verifications are also not available for the current semester until enrollment has been frozen. Please see the dates above.

Can I get an enrollment verification for my Workforce Development/Continuing Education (WDCE) courses?
Enrollment Verifications for WDCE courses must be requested through your campus Workforce Development/Continuing Education office.

CT State works to ensure that we, as an employer, provide “reasonable accommodations” to employees or applicants unless doing so would cause an “undue hardship.” The term reasonable accommodation generally refers to any change in the work environment or in the way things are customarily done that enables an employee to enjoy equal employment opportunities.

CT State’s Office of Equity and Civil Rights analyzes each request for accommodation on a case-by-case basis and makes a good faith effort to reasonably accommodate a qualified employee or applicant making such a request.

For workplace accommodations related to a medical condition, the individual with a qualifying condition must inform the employer that the accommodation is needed since employers are only obligated to provide reasonable accommodation for known disabilities.

Employees may request workplace accommodation through the Office of Equity and Civil Rights. To that end, we engage in an interactive process with all employees seeking reasonable workplace accommodations. Our involvement ensures a fair, independent, and confidential process whereby reasonable accommodations are explored via the interactive process. Sharing of information is limited to a need-to-know basis to ensure proper accommodations can be identified.

Once a request is made and any necessary paperwork has been provided, we meet with the employee and discuss their request for accommodation. In this process, we explore any major life activities affected, the employee’s job description, the essential functions of the position and other relevant information. Please note, at times, we may request a waiver to speak to a medical provider should additional information be needed to assist in the process. We will then meet with the supervisor to discuss only the essential functions of the position and the accommodation requested. Finally, we take the information obtained from both the employee and the supervisor and conduct an analysis to determine a reasonable accommodation. The interactive process is an ongoing and continuous process between the employer and the employee seeking the workplace accommodation. 

Employees may request accommodations through their HR Generalist or directly through the new CT State Accommodate portal.

How the Process Works
Our accommodation process is interactive and individualized. It typically involves:

Initial Meeting – We meet with the employee to begin the interactive process and understand the nature of the request.

Eligibility Review – We assess eligibility based on applicable laws and institutional policies.

Collaborative Discussion – We consult with relevant supervisors or departments to explore reasonable accommodation options.

Accommodation Issuance – We provide written documentation outlining the approved accommodation(s).

We encourage employees to reach out early to ensure timely support. All requests are handled with care and confidentiality.

The Academic Senate is the governing body of the Academic Affairs Division at Quinebaug Valley campus of CT State Community College. The Senate is both an independent governance structure for the members of the Academic Affairs Division and an advisory body to the Dean of Faculty. The primary function of the Academic Senate is the development and oversight of policies, procedures, and proposals related to programs, curriculum, and other functions of the Academic Affairs Division and its constituent members. The Senate is the forum where discussion on academic matters, and academic policy and procedure occurs.

This privacy notice describes the use and disclosure of your information when you use Handshake. 

Handshake is a job board platform that bridges the gap between employers and students, helping students find internship and entry-level job opportunities. Here are some of the tools and features of Handshake:

• Job Search: Find internships, full-time jobs, and part-time work.
• Employer Profiles: Research companies and connect with recruiters.
• Career Events: Discover and attend career fairs, workshops, and networking events.
• Career Center Resources: Access resume templates, interview tips, and other career development materials.

The Handshake platform is for current students and alums. CT State Community College has supplied your name, ID number, school email address, school year, campus, and major to Handshake. A shell account is created for you. You will receive an invitation via your school email to claim your account on the platform.

The information is used to match you with job and internship opportunities posted by employers. If you make your profile available, employers can contact you directly with job opportunities or invite you to career events.

Your data security is our top priority. All data are encrypted in transit, and only administrators responsible for the system will have access to your data.

Your data remains with Handshake until you request that your account be deleted, or CT State Community College terminates the agreement. If you feel you no longer need this service, please contact your career services office to have your account deleted. You may also request that your account be deleted directly from Handshake. Once your account is deleted, all your personal data will be removed from the platform, and you will no longer be visible to employers or other users.

There are three privacy settings - private, employers and community.

• Private – default setting. A student’s profile is not visible to employers or peers.
• Employers – visible to employers but not peers or alums.
• Community – visible to employers, students, and alums across all Handshake colleges and universities
