Outdoor Adventure Club

The Outdoor Adventure Club promotes healthy living, social interaction, and exercise through fun outdoor excursions such as hiking, rock climbing, ziplining and rafting. It operates on the philosophy of “Challenge by Choice”: club members are encouraged to participate in activities at the level at which they feel comfortable.

Paralegal Association

The purpose of the Paralegal Association is to provide support and fellowship to students in the program. This club offers students regular opportunities throughout the semester to connect with each other and with one of our club advisors, who is the Paralegal program coordinator. The club sponsors events, both formal and informal, to educate paralegal students about the paralegal profession and to meet professionals employed in the field. The Paralegal Club is a community for individuals interested in the field of paralegal studies and legal assistance. Whether you're a student aspiring to become a paralegal, already working in the legal field or simply fascinated by the law, our club provides a platform for networking, learning and professional development.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is recognized as the official honor society for community colleges by the American Association of Community Colleges. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarships among two-year college students. Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

PTK is an internationally acclaimed honor society recognizing the academic achievement of associate degree students. The purpose of CT State Capital’s chapter is to promote scholarship, develop leadership and service, and cultivate fellowship among qualified students. To be eligible for an invitation to join, a student must be currently enrolled, have accumulated 12 semester hours earned at CCC, have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5, and adhere to the college code of conduct.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society–Alpha Lambda Zeta Chapter

The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. Phi Theta Kappa provides an opportunity for the development of leadership and service for an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. Phi Theta Kappa's mission is two-fold: to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and to provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programming. The purpose of the Alpha Lambda Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at CT State Asnuntuck is the promotion of scholarship, the development of leadership and service and the cultivation of fellowship among qualified students at this college. We work alongside campus administration to support the college's mission through project and service opportunities. PTK members get free access to all online tools such as PTK Connect and PTK Edge. where members have the chance to search for transfer scholarships, colleges, and career pathways. Members can build skills in different areas such as healthcare, employment, transfer, competitiveness and research.

This group provides opportunities for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. Membership is extended by invitation to all students who are enrolled in an associate degree program, have accumulated 12 credits, have a 3.45 GPA and who are of good moral character and possess recognized qualities of citizenship.

Photography Club

The Photography Club meets regularly to discuss and plan photo outings, such as hiking on local trails and visiting museums and galleries. We also invite fellow photographers to present workshops based on their knowledge, skills and perspectives. We implement film and digital workshops and provide Tunxis faculty and all clubs with our services for a small donation.

Photography Club

The Photography Club gives students an opportunity to learn about film photography with others and take beautiful photos. Students meet once a month to discuss topics related to photography and encourage creativity by sharing their work. No camera is needed, and beginners are welcome.
