The Newman Society is the Catholic Club at CT State Manchester. We offer students opportunities for fellowship, spiritual development, and community service. Our club is open to students who identify themselves as practicing Catholics and to those who are baptized Catholics but have grown away from the faith, as well as to anyone who wants to learn about the Catholic faith or participate in our programs, which reflect Church teaching and values. Besides representing our club at Student Government Association events, we also conduct an annual sock drive for the homeless, coordinate a holiday card drive for local nursing home residents, host an annual dinner with speaker, and meet for fellowship and prayer. Recently, our club has participated in national Synod listening sessions on campus ministries.

The VETS Club at CT State Manchester brings together students with prior or current military service as well as students who want to support veterans. Through the OASIS services, we help veterans enroll in classes, obtain tutoring or other educational aid, apply for financial aid and veterans’ benefits, and smooth separation from the service and the return to school. We also serve as a liaison between our veterans and veterans’ communities and organizations outside of CT State Manchester.  The VETS Club plans activities and programs which contribute to the understanding and appreciation of the military by campus students and the local community. Activities and programming are determined by members at our club meetings.

The purpose of this organization is to support people interested in pursuing real-life applications of science and engineering. Activities include contests and competitions, engineering projects and field trips.
