Film and TV Club

The purpose of the Film and TV Club is to encourage student engagement and interaction by providing meetings and events that focus on film and film related activities. Potential activities include, but are not limited to, film screenings, discussions, workshops, field trips, guest speakers, trivia/game nights, and collaborations with other student organizations. The film club will also provide a method of communication among those interested in collaborating with others on film productions.

Fresh Ink Literary Magazine

The mission of the Fresh Ink Literary Magazine Club is to publish student art, poetry and short fiction in a literary journal sponsored by the Student Government Association and Naugatuck Valley's LABSS division. Every year, awards are given to the top students in each category, along with a banquet to recognize the students.

Future Educators Club

The Future Educations Club acquaints education majors with the other students in the field and gives education majors the opportunity to extend their classroom knowledge to their field of study. The club is also an opportunity to further the understanding of preschool through grade 12 education beyond the boundaries of the classroom and offer an opportunity for social involvement among students and faculty.

The purpose of this club is to provide a fun and comfortable environment for gamers and nerds as well as anime and manga fanatics. Members strive to create a community that is based on a mutual passion for these activities. Our goal is to raise money to attend conventions and host gaming tournaments and similar affairs.

The Gaming Club seeks to bring individuals together to explore hobbies and interests related to board games, video games, and role-playing games. Our goal is to create an inclusive, diverse, and safe space for those looking to find commonality in the hobbies they love and in what can sometimes be an alienating experience outside of college/university spaces.

The Gaming Club is a coalition of gaming enthusiasts on the Tunxis campus who wish to provide a fun and safe environment for students to pursue all interests in gaming as an extracurricular activity. The Gaming Club consists of all varieties of games, such as video games, card games, board games and even role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. Through gaming, we instill camaraderie and unity in students and provide a forum for discussion and debate related to all aspects of the gaming community.

The Garden Club stimulates the knowledge and love of gardening among members. Students meet to discuss gardening, plant seeds, and care for the community garden on campus. Produce is donated to the campus Pantry and Wellness Center.

The Gathering Hoop Club aids and assists students enrolled in classes at CT State Quinebaug Valley by organizing and directing events with the ultimate goal of giving back to the community and raising funds for local students in new and inventive ways.
