CT State Community College Catalog 2023-2024

  • New students enrolling for the first time in Fall 2023 will begin as students of Connecticut State Community College under this catalog. 
  • Continuing students from one of the 12 community colleges will be transitioned into a CT State program in this catalog as of the start of the Fall 2023 term.

The Marketing Certificate is meant for either new students or younger professionals wishing to enhance their skills and knowledge through additional education. This certificate programs focuses on fundamental marketing concepts; including pricing, promotional strategies, marketing communications, and the use of digital technologies for marketing purposes.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Critically analyze and discuss topics including marketing ethics, the marketing mix and global/domestic marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively present marketing and promotion plans and to make an effective sales presentation, all of which reflect an understanding of customer behavior, segmentation and product and services positioning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collect, process, and analyze consumer and market data to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create and implement traditional and digital marketing communication strategies.
  • Apply the knowledge, concepts, tools necessary to overcome challenges, and issues of marketing in a changing technological landscape.

CT State Community College is accredited by the Associate Degree Board of Commissioners of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
